It sure seems like winter is speeding right past us. We haven’t had too much snow or real bad weather so far, but winter isn’t over yet… I don’t know if it is because I am older or what but this past year has flew by so fast. When you get close to the finish line it sure comes up a lot faster than it is at the start line…….

Time flies by

This winter as long as it was has zipped right past us. Spring is just around the bend. That means that summer is close at hand. Where we work (Colonial Inn South) that means that the busy time is close by. Long nights and busy weekends. I will be trusting God for the energy to keep up. It seems that we get very little sleep during the busy season. It will not be long until I will have to start getting the pool ready and clean up the yard from winter. Then all of the mowing will start.

Over 7 months

Well it has been about 7 months since my last post, with no comments and most likely no visitors that leads me to believe that folks just aren't interested in the things that are happening all around us. If I posted a bunch of gossip or some meaningless nonsense I guess that more folks would follow it. Why do so many avoid reality? I know that I am not much of a writer, but that is ok. When I started this blog I thought that it would be a good way to express my views and thoughts. Well I guess that I am the only one that reads my junk. This too is ok! Maybe I need to rethink the purpose of my blog. I find it strange that on the social networks the same rule applies. If you are serious no one will join in, if you write about nothing everyone has a comment. I guess it is time to reinvent the wheel!

America land of the free!

When our forefathers came to this country their intent was to escape the oppression of a land set up for the rich, they were searching for religious freedom and relief from tax oppression. Surprise! Surprise! Take a look around. Our taxes are out of this world; our religious freedom is under attack and our leaders hand out our hard earned money to the rich. America has lost their true beginning. As a country we are walking backwards. We should get better with time not worse. Did our forefathers labor in vain? The torch they lit we are letting it burn out! All of the sweat, blood and hard work have all been in vain! They call us a free country with the freedom of choice, only if it agrees with the rich rulers of our nation. The working class and the poor are kept in suppression while the leaders break all the rules and waste hard earned money. The so called experts are only as good as the lies they can tell. I don’t have any degree in anything and I am not an expert in any field, but this I know for a fact if you punch a hole in the bottom of a bucket you will never fill it up. This is in simple terms what our leaders have done with America. They have taken the bucket of our economy and punched a big hole in the bottom of it, and then they sit around waiting for it to fill up. Our leaders define freedom as having the right to kill an unborn child on demand without any thought of the rights of that child. Freedom is defined to them as if it feels good do it no matter how vial it is. They call wrong right and right wrong. A murderer has more rights than his victim. And that is called justice! How much longer is America going to be duped? Will we ever stand up and say enough? Our government is a 3 ring circus! (A traveling company of entertainers; including trained animals) We stand in wonderment at the confused youth of our time not able to understand their confusion. Take a long hard look around you we have people trying to teach them that marriage can be when two anything’s choose to live together. Killing babies in the womb is ok. Passing out birth control and condoms is an answerer to moral behavior. (Simple right and wrong!) Marriage is in rapid decline! Hello” if you teach that any life style constitutes marriage! The family unit as we know it is out dated. What can you expect from our youth? We hand our children liberal guidelines then we stand confused when they go wrong. When I was growing up no meant no way and yes meant yes you can! I can remember an old saying; if you give an inch they take a mile! I realize that to some this may seem too complex to understand but if you study history you will soon understand that the liberals of today are destroying America. Some would welcome a one world government. Myself I am old school, One Nation under God.

Call out!

Today on my wife's blog (Kays Korner) I had a chance first hand to view a video clip of a actual abortion. What a horrible site! It is MURDER! I don't know how anyone can see it any other way. What a crime. America needs to repent and abolish this horrible crime. We call ourselves civilized and educated. Abortion is murder! I ask God to forgive our nation and give us a change of heart. We worry about such trivual things and let the important things slip right on bye. What is wrong with us? Have we lost all touch with reality? If you are a child of God, washed in the blood of Jesus, You need to pray with out ceasing that God will give us the strength and courage to speak out aginst this horrible crime. Let us speak for the voice that does not have a chance to speak. There has been over 40 billion lives cut short (murdered) since this horrible law was set fourth. But yet we call ourselves civilized. If you are a child of God PLEASE support the cause aginst abortion. Let your voice be heard!

Wanting a change

I don’t know about you, but I am tired of seeing snow. This winter seems to have been a long one. Yes I know that most folks complain that it is to hot when summer is here and too cold when winter comes. I don’t complain much but this year has given us way to much snow! I will be very glad to see summer arrive. On a better note I am glad that Jesus is lord and I am proud to be in His service.

Well it is that time of year again. Christmas is just around the corner. But let us remember the real reason for the season. That is the time when the word became flesh. This is when God sent His one and only Son (Jesus) to be the savior of the world. So as we trim the tree, let us remember the tree where our savior poured out His blood to cleanse us from our sin. My Christmas prayer this year is that we will hold dear to the Son of God and let His light shine for all the world to see.

God's great love

The just (JESUS) gave His life for the un-just (US) and we are saved by grace through faith. Jesus paid our debt so we could have fellowship with God.

Reformatting

Life is like a PC, when things get a little clogged up it needs to be reformatted. That is the way life goes. When things get you bogged down and your spirit seems heavy, try letting God reformat your hard drive ie (your brain) We are reminded in the word to let God renew our minds. Reformat the way we think. We need to fill our spirit with the word of God. The Bible teaches us that heaven and earth will pass away but God's word will never pass away.

Being in Love

Love is for ever, Love never quits, Love is about growing as a team.
Love is never easy or quick, it is a small seed that grows and grows when it is cultivated, pruned and polished. When two people fall in love the seed is planted and it will grow. I am so thankful that my seed of love is always growing even when weeds try to choke it out.
Life with out love is not life at all. I thank God daily for the love of my life and I pray that we can enjoy His blessings each and every day.

Time to kick back

Well the busy season is coming to a close. Now I might have some time to work on my blog. I will try to get it up to speed and post some pictures of some of the things that took place this summer. I never was much of a writer, that is my wife's calling. I would like to start a news letter and have others send me some stories and praise reports to publish in it. I think that we all need to encourage one another. If you are interested in being a part of the newsletter, just send me a email and I will start putting it together.

When they marry

One of the signs of getting older is when your Grandchildren start getting married. When this takes place you know that great grandchildren are in your future! I count my self very blessed to be able to be a part of this. God has granted me enough time to see this extension of life. Having another generation seed planted, I know that there is a good chance of seeing this in the future. Some say that getting older is no prize. Everything seems to be warring out! I see getting older as a priceless reward from God. He has granted us the privilege to see our family grow. Today our oldest grandson is getting married. Our prayer for him is that God will bless him with a long and happy life and that he will have eternal happiness with his Bride to be.

What if ?

What if folks would help when you needed it? What if someone would open the door for you? What if the car in front of you let you have the parking space? What if your neighbor dropped by to see if you needed anything from the store? What if everyone loved their neighbor as them selves? What if we treated others the way we would like to be treated?

In this day and age the what if's seem like they never happen. Well we can change that! If we are the what if in the whole scheme of things. If one person decides to be that what if , it will have a chain reaction that can spread through the whole world.

Somebody thought that anybody would help! Anybody thought that somebody would help! Guess who ended up helping? Nobody! Don't let your self become a somebody, anybody or a nobody. We all have a job to do for each other. That job is to spread a little kindness to someone. Share something with someone.

Are you Forgiven?

Are you forgiven too! Is Jesus lord of your life? Do you think that you are a good person? How do you measure up to God's standard?
1) Have you ever told a lie? (even a little white lie)
2) Did you ever steal anything? (even a cookie)
3) Have you ever cheated on your mate?
If you have answered yes to any of these simple questions, then by God's standards you need to repent! (ask God to forgive you of your sin). If you ask you will receive His forgiveness.
Keep in mind that the above questions are just a small example of God's measuring stick. It is only through the shed blood of Jesus on the cross that we can obtain God's glorious salvation. Jesus paid the price for us . We broke God's law through sin, Jesus paid the debut for us.
By faith we trust in the salvation that God has offered through Jesus Christ our Lord.
